3 Habits of Very Successful People That You Need to Try ASAP

Ever wondered what separates the uber-successful from the rest of us? Are you looking for motivational tips to push you to the next level in your career, home life, or relationships? Many of us want to improve our lives, whatever the goal may be – yet, it can be hard to get started if you aren’t sure where to begin. That’s why reading habits of successful people can be such a game-changer, providing you with inspiration and real-life advice from people who’ve “made it.” Check out a few of our favorite suggestions below.

Successful people rise and shine hours before their workday begins.

You’ve heard that “the early bird gets the worm.” Yet, for most of us, it’s much easier – and more comfortable – to stay in bed until the last possible minute. Consider changing this habit if you want to reach your goals. Nearly half of all self-made millionaires studied by the author, accountant and financial planner Tom Corley reported rising at least three hours before their workday began. This allows them plenty of time to work on personal projects or plan their schedule before their workday begins.

Successful people make it a habit to read – a lot.

Reading is integral to mental clarity and overall wellness. It can improve your social skills, sharpen your memory, and introduce you to new vocabulary words, among other things. Reading might also make you more successful, too. An incredible 88 percent of Corley’s participants said that they spend at least 30 minutes daily reading educational or self-improvement material. Even Warren Buffett has said that reading is the most critical skill he’s developed!

Successful people prioritize adequate rest and exercise.

No surprise here – self-made millionaires prioritize their physical health, devoting plenty of time to sleep and exercise. 76 percent of Corley’s study participants said that they spend 30 minutes or more exercise each day, and 79 percent report sleeping 7 to 8 hours each night. Given sleep and exercise’s tremendous benefits, it only makes sense that billionaires like Richard Branson rely on these healthy habits to stay focused and inspired.
